Horizon Report Library Edition

On March 27 we had a kickoff meeting for a new project: a Horizon Report Library Edition. Yes, there will be a new Horizon Report with the focus on Academic Libraries in 2014! The partners for this project are the New Media Consortium (www.nmc.org) that will take care of the whole creation process with the work and discussions on the wiki and the publication of the report. The other partners are ETH-Bibliothek Zurich, Technische Informationsbibliothek (TIB) Hannover and HTW Chur that made the project possible.

We will use the same methods and tools as for the well known Horizon Report Higher Education (and all the other HR projects) in order to find out the trends, challenges and technologies playing an important role in the field of academic libraries in the next years. At the moment we are looking for members of the expert panel. If you are interested in joining the team and contributing to this exciting project, you may nominate yourself with this form. In the end about 50 experts from all over the world will contribute to the subjects, discuss the topics and vote for their favorites.

The report will be presented in August 2014 – and it will be open and free, like all the Horizon Reports!

The project team for the Horizon Report Library Edition:
